Starcast: Nagarjuna Akkineni, Sneha, Baby Eney, Nasser. Ajay, Shwetha Menon et al..

Director: Vijayendra Prasad

Music director: M M Keeravani

Akkineni Nagarjuna has never promoted any other film of his as much as he promoted 'Rajanna'.He spoke to media personnel for hours all through the previous week promoting his movie.

Though he claims that this script is close to his heart, true reason is that it is his own production house 'Annapurna Studios' producing this film.
Reasons for his excess interest in promoting this film apart, Rajanna has high expectations riding on it for multiple reasons.

First reason being, most Nagarjuna's films that released in December earlier, went on to become super hits.
Secondly, S S Rajamouli who consistently delivered superhits, directed the action sequences for this film. There is also a rumour that Rajamouli ghost directed this movie.
Thirdly, Rajamouli's hit team that comprises his dad Vijayendra Prasad, directed this flick and his team music director M M Keeravani composed music for the movie. Ace cinematographer Shyam K Naidu handled camera for the project.

Rajanna, is a story of a Telangana warrior who fought against the cruelty of Razaakars and British rule.He represents the seething public anger against Razaakars and Britishers who exploited the innocent people in the region.
Nagarjuna announced the story of this movie this week and is pretty confident of its success.

Sneha plays the female lead in the movie. She was seen with Nag earlier in 'Sri Ramadasu'. Though Nag plays the title role, from his description of the script, Rajanna appears to be a story of a young girl 'Mallemma' who sings the praises of Rajanna not knowing that he is her dad.She comes to realize that Rajanna is her dad who laid his life for the people of her village. His story narrated by her caretaker, inspires the little girl to achieve her mission.

The trailers of the movie don't look impressive.Nag's make up and hairdo seen in the trailers are a turn off. A few people openly called it a clone of Venkatesh's 'Subhash Chandrabose'. Keeravani's music has evoked mixed response from the fans.  'Gijjigadu..' track was a moderate success and the rest of the songs were not of any repeat value.

The film went for censor and bagged a U/A certificate. Nagarjuna is keeping his fingers crossed and is hoping that his 'December' sentiment doesn't let him down.

Rajanna hits the screens on December 22nd admist high hopes.Let us wait and see the verdict of audience to this movie.
